Terms of Service

1. Agreement Scope

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and the Fuel Calculator app developer ("we", "us"), not Apple. Fuel Calculator provides fuel and trip-cost estimation tools. App outputs are estimates and are not guarantees of actual fuel use, route conditions, or final costs.

2. Eligibility and Platform Terms

You must comply with applicable laws and Apple platform terms (including App Store usage rules). These Terms supplement those platform terms.

3. License Grant and Restrictions

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful, non-commercial purposes on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by applicable App Store usage rules.

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except where law allows.
• Do not use the App in ways that violate law, third-party rights, or platform rules.
• Do not use the App in any prohibited region or in violation of export control laws.

4. Safety and User Responsibility

You are responsible for safe driving and route decisions. Do not interact with the App in a way that distracts from operating a vehicle safely.

5. Data, Sync, and Backups

The App stores data locally on your device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, supported data may sync through Apple iCloud services associated with your Apple account. You are responsible for managing your device, iCloud account, and backups.

6. Third-Party and Apple Services

The App uses Apple system services (such as MapKit, Contacts permission APIs, Core Location, CloudKit, and iCloud key-value sync). Availability and behavior of those services may change or be limited by Apple, region, network, or device state.

7. Maintenance, Support, and Product Claims

We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App, and for handling claims related to the App (including product liability, legal/regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims), to the extent required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, branding, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your limited license in these Terms, all rights are reserved.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose.

If mandatory law gives you a non-waivable warranty right, this disclaimer does not limit that right. If you paid for the App and it fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any), as provided in Apple terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, or decisions made based on App output. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your right to use the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Apple Third-Party Beneficiary

Apple and Apple subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material updates will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
